Here is some information to help us get the school year started!
Our first day of virtual school is Monday, August 3rd. I realize the county has labeled these days as “Orientation” but please view this as a time to get to know each other and how to navigate Canvas. At 8:00, log in to Canvas and select the homeroom course. Click on the conference tab and select the microphone option. This is where we will start our day with some ice breakers. The first 2 weeks will be a little different (we will end at 1:30 due to early release), but I wanted to give you an idea of what your child’s typical day will look like.
Here is our tentative schedule:
8:00-8:15 Morning Meeting (attendance will be taken)
8:15-8:45 Shared Reading
8:45-9:30 Independent Reading/Writing
9:30-9:45 Break
